Begin in Tarangire National Park, renowned for its sweeping savannahs, ancient baobab trees, and Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants. Continue to the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descending into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. Depart from Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Northern Tanzania’s most rewarding wildlife destinations. The park is famous for its vast elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife concentrated along the Tarangire River.
Enjoy an extensive game drive, spotting elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and a rich variety of birdlife. After a picnic lunch inside the park, continue your scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands to Karatu.
